MAACK'S SPINDLETREE Euonymus maackii This seldom seen beauty is grown as a large shrub or small tree. The fruit is a unique lantern shaped capsule which ranges from pink to red and persists from mid summer until freeze up. Small tree: Height 3m (10ft). Foliage: Fine to medium texture--dark green. Flowers: Yellowish but not showy. Fruit: Persistent pink to red capsules that are born in great abundance some years. Fall Colour: Very showy bright orange. Compares well with the "red" maples.
