PEKING COTONEASTER Cotoneaster lucidus
Also called: HEDGE COTONEASTER
This cotoneaster which is sometimes called "Hedge Cotoneaster" is an bright upright shrub which is closed at the base and is excellent for formal hedging. It is hardy, fast growing, and provides great interest in the fall.
Shrub: Height untrimmed 2m (6ft).
Foliage: Leaves are medium texture, dark green and shiny above and somewhat fussy below.
Flowers: Small pink flowers; not very conspicuous.
Fruit: Small dark blue berry.
Fall Colour: Outstanding. Flaming orange-red colour.
Comments: The cotoneaster is a vigorous medium sized shrub that is great as a hedge or a background plant or filler. Its fall colour makes it a very desirable addition to the landscape.
