RIBBON GRASS Phalaris arundinacea var. picta
Ribbon Grass is a white and green variegated ground cover which is very aggressive. Great for stabilizing slopes.
Perennial Groundcover: Height 90cm (3ft).
Foliage: Variegated green and white grass. Mow it close to the ground in the late fall to keep it tidy.
Flowers: Not significant.
Comments: Makes a great accent in the perennial border when it is contained in a sunken pot. Unless it is contained it will overwhelm most plants except the larger shrubs and trees.
