CLIFF-GREEN Paxistima canbyi Cliff-Green is a very fine textured broadleaf evergreen groundcover that does well in semi-shade. It is not aggressive and does best were it gets adequate snow cover. Worthy of much wider use. Perennial groundcover: Height 20cm (8in). Spreads by underground runners. It is slow growing and persistent. Foliage: Small, somewhat leathery green leaves. Flowers: Not significant. Comments: Because Cliff-Green grows slowly, it is not at all invasive. Its fine texture provides an excellent backdrop for other plants that are courser. The specimen in the Patterson Garden does well year after year with minimal care. | |||||||||
