BATTLEFORD APPLE
Fruit: -Up to 3 inches;
-greenish yellow streaked or mottled with red;
-flesh is yellowish, course textured, slightly acidic;
-fair for cooking, juice, and fresh eating;
-stores for one month;
-ripens in early September.
Tree: Round headed tree with upright form.
Comments: Completely hardy in our area. This is a very old variety introduced in 1934.
