NANNYBERRY Viburnum lentago It is hard to understand why this versatile shrub isn’t seen everywhere. Showy flowers, decorative fruit and excellent fall colour put this shrub in a league of its own. The course lustrous leaves are seldom bothered by any pests. It thrives in sun or shade. Shrub: Height 3 to 5m (9 to 15ft). Although this shrub can get large over time most plants never get taller than 10 feet. Foliage: Course texture leaves are shiny and bright.. Flowers: Large clusters of white flowers are very showy. Blossoming period is extended from late spring to early summer. Fruit: Showy clusters of berries turn from green to pink to red to black and persist into the winter. Excellent for birds. Fall Colour: Outstanding. Orange to blood red. Comments: Remember, Nannyberry grows quite large. | |||||||||
