MOUNT BAKER LILAC Syringa x hyacinthiflora ‘Mr. Baker’ This white flowering lilac is considered by some to be the best of all lilacs. Mount Baker is a large fast growing lilac that easily flowers the first year that you plant it. It is an early blooming American Hybrid in the same group as ‘Pocahontas’ Shrub: Height 2 to 3m (6 to 9ft). Foliage: Course texture leaves with very fresh green colour. Flowers: Large clusters of white flowers are very showy. Individual florets are large and waxy. Excellent for cut flowers that will fill the room with fragrance. Comments: This is a most excellent addition to the landscape. Don’t forget that this is one of the larger lilacs, ideal for a back yard border. Mount Baker does not sucker and is worthy of much wider use. | |||||||||
