The Northern Gold Forsythia is a vigorous medium sized shrub which is valued for its very early display of bright yellow flowers.
Medium Shrub: Height 1.5m (5ft)
Foliage: Medium texture, shiny, bright green.
Flowers: Bright yellow, up to one inch across. Appear very early, almost before the leaves. Flower buds are not fully hardy and some years only the branches that were protected by snow will bloom. Otherwise the plant is perfectly hardy.
Comments: The Northern Gold Forsythia extends the season of interest in any garden. It is a great filler plant.
