Ptitsin #12 Plum Fruit:
-3 cm (1.5 in.); Pollination: Plant with other Asian plums such as Brookgold, Ivanovka, or Fofonoff. There are probably other good pollinizers but they have not been adequately investigated. Tree: The other Ptitsin plums are round spreading trees with wide angled branches. Hardy: To zone 2. Comments: Came to the Morden Research Station in 1939 from L.V. Ptitsin of Manchuria. In the Saskatchewan Gardener, Clarence Peters lists Ptitsin #5, #9, and #10 but not #12. | |||||||||
