Manor Cherry Plum
Prunus besseyi x P. salicina 'Manor'

Fruit: -3 cm (1 in), round;
-matures in mid August;
-flesh is dark red, tender, juicy, sweet with only a trace of astringency;
-nearly freestone;
-skin is dark reddish purple with a light waxy bloom, thin, tender and mild;
-good for fresh eating;
-excellent for canning;
-very good for jam.

Pollination: Plant with other cherry plums such as Beta, Opata, and Convoy or Western Sandcherry.

Tree: Semi upright, bushy plant.

Hardy: To zone 2.

Comments: Introduced by Agriculture Canada Research Station in Morden, Manitoba in 1945.
